Clean Eating.

Blame it on spring, sunny weather or most probably because im going home to Romania in approximately 4 weeks, my eating habits have been quite good, if i can say so myself. I’ve started with a three day clean eating challenge during St. Patricks weekend (read here), felt amazing and just kept going.

So if you are looking for some food inspiration for the coming week, here are some tried and tested, easy combinations that will keep the bloat away, slim you down and fill you up with all the right nutrients.

Clean Eating Low carb dinner: tuna (in water) mixed with a tiny bit of mayo, red onion, olives, cucumber and spinach, on sesame Ryvita.

Clean Eating YourBeauty Liquid lunch/breakfast: make a delicious smoothie by mixing banana, mango, frozen strawberry, blueberries, spinach, orange juice and a scoop of protein powder (i love the Precision Whey Protein from Holland&Barrett).

Cabbage Soup Homemade Cabbage Soup – i sipped on this tasty soup every time i craved a treat and it managed to fill me up. Im not eating it as part of the ‘cabbage soup diet’, although i did toy with the idea briefly. For me its not achievable or realistic and i would probably ending passing out in work. As a snack though, its a low calorie, low sodium, rich in fiber soup that will help keep the cravings at bay. Recipe here (i just blitzed mine in the blender, don’t like the chunks of cabbage).

As for indulgence, once a week i treat myself to something sweet. This time, the Lidl Macaroons filled the spot just right!

Lidl Macaroons

Result wise i am down 1kg/ 2 pounds and lost 2cm from my waist. Honestly i don’t care if it is water weight loss, all i know is that i have more energy, my skin is clear and my clothes fit better.

What diet plan works best for you? Any wonder supplements or teas i should check out? x

1Kilo in one week? Oh, I’m gonna need to come and live with you so that you can teach me how to eat properly as well! Is the smoothie a brekkie replacement? 🙂 x

Yes, the smoothie was instead of breakfast or if I was on my day off, instead of lunch (would have porridge for breakfast). Probably just eliminated the water retention, but still happy. Eat a lot of lean protein too

fair play to you. it is so hard to stay motivated and you seem to be doing great. The thyroid just makes everything so much harder. Keep it up xx

Yes, unfortunately it does but at the same time the cream cakes eating frenzy during work breaks didn’t help either :).
