CultBeauty Haul: Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Palette

Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Light Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Palette Review Anastasia Cream Contour Palette Before and After Irish Beauty Blogger

Last year i have discovered the wonders of contouring and became addicted to Anastasia’s products: the brow and contour palettes have changed my makeup life. I made a little CultBeauty order just a day before going into labor, i was felling so fed up that i needed a treat. And what a treat it was coming home with a lovely new baby and to new makeup.

I didn’t necessarily need to get the cream contour version as i already have the powder one and a few other versions from Smashbox (the contour pencils are great for nose contouring and for traveling). I was browsing the CultBeauty site as i had 15% off discount for my birthday, came across the Anastasia section and got sucked in by the YouTube tutorials on cream contouring. The before and after were staggering, so i decided i wanted to sculpt that baby fat out of my face.

For the cream contour – i got the Light version – i use a travel size Laura Mercier foundation brush, the tip is narrow and firm ideal for sculpting perfect cheekbones. I create a shadow under my cheeks, jawline and temples with Light Sculpt, warm up my forehead with Java and brighten my under eye with Fair or Banana, depending on the state of my dark circles. Using a Beauty Blender i melt away any harsh lines and blend the shading into my foundation. If im feeling fancy i just add some of the Powder Contour to top it out and highlight.

A touch of blush and my face already looks slimmer and more chiseled. Or at least that’s what im telling myself!

I’ve only tried ABH eyeshadows, I have three of her palettes and I love them. But I’ve been meaning to order her brow products for ages, I’m just never sure what shade to go for 🙂 The cream contour palette looks great but I very rarely cream contour so it’s not worth for me to invest the money in it. x

Love the contouring! I haven’t really dabbled in cream contour shades before as I don’t think I’ll know what to do with 6 different shades. My favourite way to contour is using NARS Laguna powder, which is perfect for chiselling cheekbones 🙂 I have the Anastasia Dip Brow pomade and it’s the only thing I use on my brows!

Now I don’t think like you have baby weight showing on your face, but I can totally relate to the need for a treat when the end of pregnancy is near. I am still very pregnant and very fed up, so I better stay clear from the Cult Beauty website!
But I have been meaning to try some new contour products as well, as I am no longer satisfied with my (nonexistent) contouring regime. And my puffy face.

I started reading this telling myself that I don’t need this product because I have the Smashbox sticks for cream contouring but now I’ve read that you have those too & still bought this & I’m wavering! Looks really good on you and that red lip is absolutely stunning! I’m going to hold off for the minute but might pick it up when I go to the U.S. in a few months xx

I am trying to get into contouring and I have my eyes on that cream contour palette (Contouring with powders don’t really give the same result as cream ones) for so long, I wonder if they ever go on sale! Your makeup looks flawless, even without makeup your skin looks amazing. Which lipstick are you wearing? It is stunning.
