The French Pharmacy Skincare Haul

saraneva-co-uk-review

There is no secret that i am a big fan of french skincare, most of my favorite brands have been created and developed by french scientists and oh boy, they seem to know what they are doing.

In the recent years we seen more and more french products being available in Ireland – like Bioderma and Uriage just to name two, but with limited lines. I mean did you know that Bioderma has a very vaste line of anti pigmentation, anti aging or hydration products? Or that Vichy does one of the best anti cellulite products that i have ever tried.

vichy-celludestock-overnight-cream-reviewI am always on the look out for affordable online outlets that sell french skincare, so when Sanareva.co.uk has reached out and asked me to review their site i was very impressed with the amount of brands they have and their regular savings promotions. This plus the low Sterling makes it a real bargain.

With the voucher that i was gifted i went for two very coveted products that i just cant get in Dublin: the Bioderma Hydrabio SPF30 Mist and Vichy CelluDestock Overnight anti cellulite cream.

Because i am very sun aware, i found the Bioderma Hydrabio Mist super handy for on the go SPF top up – i generally leave the house very early in the morning and by lunch time my SPF protection is mostly gone (SPF 30 = 300 minutes sun protection | 5 hours) so when im popping out for lunch i would really need to reapply. The Bioderma Mist is perfect for that – you just spray it on the areas exposed, full face of makeup included and it reinforces the SPF barrier. With how temperamental the Irish weather is, we can have full tropical summer for an hour and storm in the next so its such a handy product to have in the handbag.

Call me delusional, but i am a HUGE fan of anti cellulite creams with Vichy leading the way (Somatoline is another great one too available on the site here). Of course that i don’t think that ill eat burgers and loose weight by applying a topical cream! But it will help by smoothing the bumps, firm up the skin and help release fluid from the cells and loosing centimeters. Alongside body brushing (which i don’t really do because it hurts, but i heard is fantastic), a firm massage and a good cellulite cream you can get the legs ready before a sun holiday.

The Vichy CelluDestock Overnight Cellulite Cream is, as the name said, a lotion that you only need to apply at night time after shower alongside a Vichy recommended massage move (its on the inside of the box packaging). Very rich in active Caffeine extract, it helps to deflate the fat cells by releasing the excess water and activating the lymphatic drainage. I have been using it for the last two weeks and i can only describe it as a corset for my thighs. My legs just look firmer, less wobbly and a lot smoother.

What are your favorite french brands? Do you have any secret, hard to find amazing french products that you swear by? Would love to hear.
