For the past few weeks, while on blog break, i managed to accumulate a few new beauty bits that i have been craving for a long time. First on the list was the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette, the perfect size and colors to take while traveling or for daily commuting. Although i still want the Naked 3, it was more sensible to get the shades that i know i will be using every single day. Neutrals will never get out of fashion.
A Topshop cream blush was on the list for months. I got the color Flush – which is a bright fluorescent pink (looks awfully red in the picture, but definitely a pink) that gives the most flattering, forgive my pun, flush to the cheeks. I seem to reach for cream bases more in the winter time, as my skin gets drier and it doesn’t melt the product away.
The Elizabeth Arden 8H Lip Set was a bargain got in Clerys with a 50% off discount (was €40, i got it for €20). My lips were acting the maggot with all the wind and central heating, resulting in painful dryness so this set was a god sent. Set up as a lip wardrobe – there is an intensive night balm (the pot), a pre-lipstick conditioner (the lipstick balm) and a lip SPF 20 for summer days or skying holidays. Think there is still some stock left in Clerys if you need it, highly recommend.
Marc Jacobs Daisy is something that i will always have to have in my perfume collection, i will never get tired of this wonderful scent. My favorite perfume ever, a huge statement coming from the owner of a 75+ bottles of perfume collection. Scent is my crack.
As i started a slimming/health kick alongside every other woman on the planet, the Clarins Body Shapping Cream seemed like the natural choice in firming up my wobbly bits. I use it every night after shower and deep tissue massage with my Scholl machine, following the massage moves recommended by the Clarins experts – starting from the ankles and finishing up with my arms. It is gently cooling, feels luxurious and the skin looks great and pampered. Obviously a cream wont dissolve fat deposits, but it definitely makes a difference in the skin appearance. I do believe in cellulite creams!
