Beach Bag Essentials: Avene, Vichy, Kerastase, The Body Shop, Estee Lauder and Bourjois

Beach bag essentials Beach essentials Sun holiday With only a couple of weeks left until my holiday in Tenerife, i’ve started to organize a few bits and pieces of things that im going to bring with us. The beach bag, being one of the most important part of the luggage as i am planning to spend the entire week plastered on a sun lounge, sipping cocktails and relaxing.

Although im naturally on the sallow side, i don’t burn easily and tan quite well, im still reaching for sun lotions with SPF 40+. I always did and i can honestly say that my 30 year old face is thanking me for it. Reaching for higher factors doesn’t mean that you wont get a tan, on the contrary – you will become golden without burning and your color will last longer too. Also, the higher the SPF the longer you will get protected (eg. SPF 50 means protection aprox. 500 minutes – 8h protection). Of course, if you sweat, are in and out water or the lotion gets rubbed off because of clothes or towels, you have to re apply every two hours.

This year i have packed the Avene SPF 50 Very Waterproof Spray* for when we are swimming and the Vichy Capital Soleil Spf 40 Suncare oil* for that bronzed goddess look. I still need to stock up on about 3 other bottles, im that fanatic with sun care that in two days we finish off one bottle of lotion between the two of us.

I was very lucky and got last year’s bottle of the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess perfume from my friend who wasn’t too keen on it. Its literally summer in a bottle – sexy coconut, light and sensual! There is a body cream available this year and a shimmery body oil, that i might need to check out.

The Kerastase Soleil MicroVeil Hair Spray is something i have recycled from last year, it is a dry oil meant to add shine and protection to your hair. Between the pool and the sea, my hair tends to become a dry knotty mess so i need something that will help me detangle it and make it look smooth.

For after beach moisture, the new The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Sorbet* (€13.50) and Vitamin E Aqua Boost Face Sorbet* (€15) will be ideal for cooling off and revitalize. The Pink Grapefruit Body Sorbet is absolutely delicious – so fresh, light and uplifting! I dont think ill be able to not use it every single morning…is that amazing! As for the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet, i am planing to use it as an instant injection of moisture to help re-plump my skin after the beach. The texture and smell is absolutely divine, non sticky or shiny it will hydrate the complexion instantly.

I still need to pack some waterproof makeup, shimmery oil and get a ton of books for my Kindle so all recommendations are very welcomed!

PS. My stripped beach bag is from Mango! Link!
