I take down all the curtains in the summer & wash & iron them. Then as soon as the evenings start to close in up they go again! They are mostly dark colours of aubergine/plum/navy except my room which has orange/terracotta/pumpkin coloured drapes. I like the feeling of open space & light when the weather’s good and then when they’re up, the house feels all snug & cosy!
