Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer Review

Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation Review Clinique Beyond Perfecting foundation wand

Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer is the latest makeup innovation that will help achieve the most flawless, perfect looking skin. Aimed for women in their 30’s (check!), with a dry/oily combination skin (check!) that love a full coverage foundation (check!check!), Beyond Perfecting is a liquid foundation and concealer that just covers everything, yet its so light weight that it feels like nothing.

The application is slightly different, with the use of the ‘Magic Wand’ you can spot and under eye conceal and even out the skin tone at the same time. The great thing about it is that you use a minimum of product: you literally take the wand out of the bottle and you can do your whole face, plus conceal with the amount of product left on the applicator.

Dot around the eyes and where you need spot concealing, turn the wand on the sides and swipe across the face for coverage.

For a maximum full coverage use your fingers to blend in the product by gently tapping and working the foundation into the skin. I personally prefer using a buffing brush or a RT sponge, the coverage will be moderate and the skin will look flawless with a natural matte finish.

Because its a long lasting, oil free foundation it makes it ideal for an every day face. I prefer a medium to full coverage, my skin has the ability of breaking down a sheer foundation into nothing after a few hours, so i need a  light weight texture yet buildable to create a flawless coverage.

Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation in Alabaster swatch Color wise i am wearing the lightest shade out of the 21 – number 2 Alabaster. Probably too light for my skin (im more light medium than fair), i can still make it work with some light contouring and the yellow undertone helps. My absolute perfect shade would be 6.5 Buttermilk, but it will have to wait until i finish off this bottle.

If you were a fan of the sadly discontinued Clinique Repairwear Anti Age foundation, you will love this one even more. I know i do!

This looks gorgeous on you missus! I’ll have to investigate when I finish a bottle of foundation, doesn’t matter which one, I just need to finish one! I wish it had a pump applicator instead of the wand, but if it makes me have skin like yours, then I’ll deal with it 😉

I bought Creamwhip because I’m a C25 and the site said it was the perfect match and the shade was too dark and too orange!!!
I really think Alabaster looks good on your skintone! 😉

Hi Heidi, I’m wearing another Clinique product on my cheeks – it’s the blusher in Peach Pop (€20). A soft, satin matte peach.

Should work, definitely yellow undertones. Im a NC20 and its slightly too dark on me so for a NC25 should be fine.
