New MAC Makeup Services in Terminal 1 Dublin Airport #AD

The MAC counter in Terminal 1 Dublin Airport has recently launched in July, alongside a beautiful new spacious layout – a Service Menu to treat and delight their customers. From now on, you can book an appointment with a Mac Makeup Artist before your trip, by ringing the numbers below and avail of their two fantastic service offers: a Focus Feature Lesson in 30 minutes for €25 (redeemable against Mac product purchased at the appointment) or an Express Makeup Application in 30 minutes for €25 (redeemable against Mac product purchased at the appointment).

PicMonkey Collage I was kindly invited to try the services, my Makeup Artist Kym helped me to choose one and because i was looking for some tips on how i could change my makeup routine and get the most out from my products, i went with a Focus Feature Lesson and Look 6 – Neutral Face with Winged Eyeliner and Bold Lip. Kinda my signature look, but i was looking for a twist on the same old routine.

The Before

Before and After Mac Makeover

What Does a Mac Focus Feature Lesson Entails?

During a Mac Focus Feature Lesson, your Mac Makeup Artist will give you a step by step guidance on how you can achieve easily your desired look. You are actively participating during the lesson, the Makeup Artist will do half of the face and then will effectively guide you on doing the other half, step by step. For example, Kym showed me a different way to do my eyeliner using a slanted brush and a gel eyeliner step by step on one eye and then i recreated it on the other eye. The best way to learn is to do it yourself.

Your Makeup Artist will either take off all your makeup – base, eyes and lips or just your eyes and lips and perfect the complexion after, depending on how much time you have. We are in an airport after all!

14 (1 of 1) During Mac Makeover in Terminal 1 Dublin I honestly learned so much from this lesson, i had a couple of Mac products that were gathering dust in a drawer because i couldn’t make them work for me – the Paint Pots for example, everybody raving about them yet they were creasing like mad on me. It turns out i just needed to lightly dust some translucent powder to set them and then apply the eye shadow. Groundbreaking! My eye shadow stayed on all day long so now i see what the fuss was all about.

The After

After Mac Makeover T1 Mac Ablaze Lipstick, Mac Warm Neutral Eyeshadow Palette, Mac Teddy Khol on lower lash line, Mac Fluidline Gel Eyeliner in Blacktrack on top lid, Lingering Brow Pencil, Springsheen Blush and Soft and Gentle Highlighter.

If you are not fussed on getting a step by step lesson and just want to relax for 30 min and get your makeup done, the Mac Express Makeup Application might be best for you. You can use the Mac Lookbooks again for inspiration and get an idea of what you could get done. Then just sit back, let the Mac Makeup Artist work its magic and reveal a polished, beautiful look in just 30 minutes.

PicMonkey Collage I honestly feel that these new Mac services are great for when traveling by plane. I know myself im always rushing, either panicking last minute that i cant find the passports or just going over and over the to pack list, trying to shift that feeling that i definitely forgot something important. So im ending up looking and feeling rubbish. Now for just €25 redeemable against products – the price of a Mac lipliner and a lipstick for example, that you were going to get them anyway you can get your makeup done and maybe learn some tips along the way as well. The only catch is that you must give the girls on counter a ring and leave your details on the voice mail, so they can book your slot in. You know you will be early in the airport waffling around so it might as well be productive.

Also its great for people traveling for business, you can step out of the plane at your destination looking professional and rested, even if you are perhaps up since 5am and crumbling inside.
