The Double Serum has been in the Clarins family since 1985, getting improved and reformulated every couple of years as technology and research reached new findings in terms of skins natural ability of fighting lines and wrinkles and delaying the aging process. The latest breakthrough and testing was focused on the skins molecules abilities of communicating properly with the skin, helping them exchange messages and act on them effectively.
Turmeric is the super star addition of the formulation, the celebrity spice that everyone seems to be in love with at the moment. Alongside 20 other plant extracts, it makes Double Serum a concentrate that will act on the appearance of wrinkles, boost collagen production, improve radiance and hydration.
I used it since i got it, a bit over two weeks ago at the Marker Hotel launch. The product is recommended to be applied morning and evening, underneath moisturizer but i preferred to only use it during my night time routine. Despite being a lightweight serum, i still find it too rich for my oily combination skin for a day time use.
The application is luxurious, an emollient dual phase serum that instantly feels lovely and soft on the skin. The scent is herbal and relaxing, im personally not sensitive to fragrance in a negative way so bare in mind that it might not be for everyone.
Another novelty is the new dispensing nozzle pump: a small drop or a more generous one, depending on taste and skin needs. I personally love the bigger drop, as its enough for face and neck.
Results wise, ive been quite pleased: in the morning the skin is looking plump, supple and hydrated. I cant say that ive seen a big improvement on the appearance of lines and wrinkles, at 33 years old i don’t have that many to tackle (yet!). However, my skin looked rested and relaxed which is all i want in an anti age serum really.
Overall thumbs up from me, let me know if you’ve tried it!
