L’Occitane Verbena Limited Edition 2020
Verbena is the essence of summer,sunshine and freshness.
With its citrus, green and woody scent, the is energising as it is soothing. Historically, Verbena was found in the south of France. Over time, hotter countries like Morocco began cultivating it and it died out in Provence. It was L’Occitane’s wish to replant and restore the verbena tradition in the region. Philippe and Magalie Mary, trusted partners, welcomed the idea and started to cultivate the lemon-scented plant in Jouques (Provence). A natural green oasis. A sheltered land between the mountains and protected by the Natura 2000 European label.
Thanks to this incredible terrain and the care given by our producers, this rare verbena has a unique olfactory note: crisp, green and powerful. The “Caring Guardians” farm 100% organically. No pesticides or fertilizers are used, even the ones allowed in organic agriculture regulations. They choose to keep their field small, making sure they’re giving it their undivided attention. They replant every year and the weeding is done by hand.
L’Occitane has created a unique body care collection of playful textures. Dressed in an eye-catchinglimited edition design for a refreshing beauty experience every day. The entire Verbena range now adorns Ayumi’s lovely design depicting typical Provençale accessories and traditions. Hats, wicker baskets, the sun and napping. L’occitane’s commitment to biodiversity is represented by the green oasis that is the Verbena field in Jouques. With various butterflies and flowers.
