This month, Lancome are launching a new foundation as part of their makeup range: Teint Idole Silky Mat. This comes as a replacement for the Adaptive foundation and Maquimat (this will be discontinued very soon, get yours while you can).
I got my foundation as part of a goodie bag, while attending a Lancome training session in January and I have used it ever since. My shade is 03 Beige Diaphane, which is a perfect match for my skin. Actually, I am no3 in all Lancome foundations and its the most wereable shade from them all.
Teint Idole Silky Mat is a new generation of foundations, based on mineral ingredients who don’t just cover and protect, but also treat the skin. Studys have shown that daily use of the foundation helps restore radiance, minimise pores and helps reduce the fine lines. Also it has SPF 16 and gives 18H of shine free.
The texture is very light on touch, almost watery (the product has to be shaken well before application). At first I was concerned is to light and drying, but once applied it gives the nicest coverage ever! It looks very natural, your skin is shine free, without that horrible mask effect that some products for oily-combination skin can give. And no, it is not drying at all.
I am applying my foundation with my fingers if I am in a hurry (I usually am) and if I have time on my hand, I use a foundation brush.
Also, I noticed that after removing my makeup in the evening, my skin looks good. When I say good, I mean that it is not dull or irritated and my pores are not blocked.
Overall, I believe this is one of the best foundations that Lancome made so far.
