After being very cruel to my hair a whole summer, with all the bleaching, teasing and what not i finally managed to sort myself out and go to a hairdresser. Although i might have deviated unsuccessfully with other salons, i went to my exceptionally good Peter Mark in Dundrum Shopping Center to avail of their 20% off promotion.
After a couple of minutes of mop assessment, Amanda decided to give me a straight cut with layers in the front that will make my hair look more polished and chop about 5 inches off. Must say it was so refreshing to see someone professional to give me solutions and to know exactly what i need to work on, instead of the usual ‘i don’t know, what do you think?/maybe just a trim to be safe’.
She used the Kerastase Volume Active range while washing, gave me a 5 minute intensive treatment and then proceeded with the cut and blow dry. We went for sleek to show off my cut better.
Although i still have to sort out my color (have some dark brown patches in areas), i promised to myself i will give my hair a break. My scalp has become very sensitive and dry because of all my messing and my hair is shedding like mad, so i promised Amanda i wont be a shampoo wh$&% and stick to a medicated one like Kerastase Biotic or even brands like Eucerin Dry Scalp Shampoo.
Also, apparently when you have fine hair like mine, its safe to skip conditioner after wash and use instead a leave in product on the ends (have my Redken Extreme Anti-Snap) . I should also stay away from all the cream and oil based formulas, to avoid having my hair weighted down.
So happy with how light and shiny it feels again!
NB. this is not a sponsored post, im not affiliated with Peter Mark nor i was contacted by them. Just a happy customer.
