Slowly, my Mac lipstick collection is growing and my red addiction is satisfied by another cult shade – Russian Red. It seems that i get drawn to only matte formulas, is so appealing to have the certainty that the color wont bleed and it will stay on your lips for hours.
Russian Red is no different: matte, bold and ready to make a statement. Of course the texture is drying and it needs a bit of lip pampering before application, nothing that a tooth brush scrub and a intensive conditioner cant fix. And the color might not be on everyone’s taste – a rich blue red that is noticed miles away. That’s why i love it! Makes my teeth look whiter, my skin clearer and it looks like i actually made an effort with my appearance.
Any recommendations for my next purchase? Would love an easy everyday nude…

@Nora – Thank you Nora! i know how overwhelming it can be, i still find it difficult to decide what color to get. What i usually do is reading about the most popular shades and then decide in person if they suit me or not x.
Love this red! Have looked at it so many times in MAC but never actually picked it up! Looks so gorgeous on you! I may have to get it for the Christmas season 🙂

Darling, that looks the bomb on you! I have this and for some reason I stepped back from reds but I must dig it out again. I am very much drawn to getting ‘Ruby Woo’, like I need any more reds but hey ho 😉 x

@LauraDoyle – it all comes to your skin undertones – if you are yellow tone go for coral, orange, warm reds. If you are pink tone go for cool, blue, pink reds. And of course, try them all and see what you fancy most :).

This shade looks gorgeous on you hun! Iam really into bright/red lipsticks but never actually tried Russian Red… Think Iam going to check it next time 😉 My fave lipstick from MAC is On Hold… But if you wanna try a nude, I would recommend Patisserie & Peach Blossom!!! XoXo
