You probably don’t realize that most men are really into their grooming and skincare too. I mean who would want to be a dry, scratchy, un-appealing person anyway? Well my husband is truly my male version (said in the most flattering, masculine way!) and does enjoy a fine perfume and the latest skincare discovery.
Because he suffers with seborrheic dermatitis (oily skin that flakes on the surfaces and tends to look red/irritated) he needs to be on top of things and look after his skin daily.
One moisturizer that he would never be out of is the La Roche Posay Nutritic Intense Rich. He has used it for almost seven years (previously was named Nutritic 5%) and its a guarantee of souple, soft and non irritated face. Despite his skin being oily, the texture and active ingredients in this cream seem to soothe, calm and nourish his face without transforming it into an oil slick.
The Roger & Gallet Shaving Foam, although being a bit more expensive than your regular Gillete is truly worth it! It lasts for ages, leaves the skin super soft and not irritated, whilst leaving a delicious lingering scent. It was the first time when i heard him comment on how much he loves it after just one use.
Perfume wise, he is mirroring his wonderful wife (sic!) and has a fragrance wardrobe that would make jealous any beauty blogger. On rotation for now, is the Chanel Allure Blanche – crisp, fresh, sweet lemon and Viktor and Rolf Spice Bomb – warm, spicy, woody, sensual. I love them both, but have a real soft spot for Spice Bomb and sometimes i wear it myself.
As for accessories, besides the wedding band, he only wears his Calvin Klein watch with leather strap that i got him as a Christmas present a few years ago. He hates big watches and this one seemed to fill the bill just right, although now i know he is craving for a Michael Kors one. Like wife, like husband!
