Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation Review

At the end of August, Charlotte Tilbury unveiled their latest product innovation: the Airbrush Flawless Foundation. A pore minimizing, radiance boosting, weightless foundation base. This was the missing product in the already popular Airbrush Flawless range. Who hasn’t yet heard about their amazing Flawless Filter primer and the divine Airbrush Flawless powder.

Flawless is a feeling!

With a natural matte finish, the new Airbrush Flawless foundation comes in 44 different skin coded shades. This is the brands most inclusive foundation shades yet and they made sure they covered all three undertones. Cool (C), Neutral (N) and Warm (W).

The easiest way of determining your undertone is to look at your wrists. A Cool undertone will show purple veins. A Warm undertone show green, whilst a Neutral will show green and purple.

For reference i am shade 4 Neutral. I matched myself using the Charlotte Tilbury chart online and it was confirmed by one of the on counter makeup artists. For the record, i am No3 in Lancome, Honey in Clarins, NC25 in Mac, Dessert Beige in Double Wear, B40 Sand in YSL.

On first application on my face, the shade appeared too light. Once buffed in and let it settled it just transformed itself into the best color match for my skin tone. I find that the formula is full coverage, yet is not the ‘move a muscle and it cracks’ type. I really dislike heavy foundations that just sit into the expression lines and this one luckily isn’t one of them. The finish is luminous, breathable and very long lasting.

One and a half pump does my whole face and i find that a dense buffing brush is best for application. A beauty blender would soak up too much of the formula, however you can further give it an once over to perfect the application. It sets quickly onto the skin so i find that’s important to buff it in straight away.  I love the blurring, luminous finish it gives to my skin and i can easily see it becoming one of my favorite foundations to reach out for. The skin looks even and healthy, with a lit from within glow.

Because of the long lasting formula is important to note that a well moisturized skin is ideal. I got a few samples of the Magic Cream with my online order and it just worked beautifully with the foundation. I might need to invest.

I bought it last week and, though at first it seemed a great surprise, now I have mixed feelings, especially since my skin is so dry lately and no amount of moisturizer seems to work…
It looked best over the pore&shine nars primer applied with a quite dump beauty blender. But the chin still looked dry and uneven. One thing is for sure, it will last for at least one year 🙂 If you use your fingers one pump is enough.

This is the best I could make of it, with primer and beauty blender https://scontent.fotp1-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/70698612_10157537682414921_6976851867552710656_n.jpg?_nc_cat=100&_nc_oc=AQl0XUP5lC9_sdjMyB2jNU5bzq_r1vpCBofQOFM–OGnr7SgiGRL6-XrbXEkVPb675c&_nc_ht=scontent.fotp1-2.fna&oh=209ecb6cc4db14293444bad20e670fb5&oe=5E0174ED
