Favorite Clay Masks
Since we are all spending more time in doors, i hope we are all doing a bit more skincare pampering too. There isn’t anything i enjoy more than a face mask at the end of the day. And maybe a glass of wine! So i figured i should tell you about my favorite clay masks that i’ve been trialing. My skin is normal/combination with a tendency for a shiny t-zone and open pores. Im also trying to keep my skin texture under control and a clay mask once or twice a week seems to do the trick.
My favorite way to do a home pampering session is to exfoliate the skin first, after a proper cleansing. Follow up with a clay mask for detoxing and drawing up impurities. And finishing up with a hydrating mask. After all this my skin is smooth, luminous and texture dramatically improved.
Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Mask
Probably my most purchased clay mask of all time. I lost count, it could be my 5th tube or even 6th. I love it because its not drying out my skin and just seems to reduce shine and leave my skin soft and luminous. It will work on most skin types, even the sensitive ones. You can check it out here and if you use code Andreea_Lf you will get 15% off your Clinique purchase.
Skinceuticals Clarifying Clay Masque
The Skinceuticals Clarifying Clay Masque is proven to make your skin smoother and brighter the more you use it. It contains a blend of Kaolin and Bentonite clay and Hydroxy Acid. So not only purifies and draws out impurities, but gently exfoliates the skin and leaves it bright and clean. The Aloe Vera and Chamomile extracts makes the mask creamy and nourishing. You can check it out here.
L’Occitane Purifying Mask
Probably the most ‘natural’ and green clay mask from my bunch. It contains freshly cut Thyme, rich in zinc that purifies the skin and reduces excess oil. This is my go to mask whenever my skin is breaking out in spots or is really imbalanced. The herbal extracts seem to soothe and reduce imperfections quick. Plus i get the whole wow factor with my family every time they see me with it on. Check it out here.
Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask
This is my most recent clay mask that i got to try. I got it as part of a monthly LookFantastic box during Easter, if you haven’t checked this luxury boxes i highly recommend them. You get 5-6 full sized high end beauty products for a fraction of the price. You can check them out here. Anyway, i digress. The Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask is based on Hungarian Moor – a rich thermal mud and is meant to highly revitalize tired complexions. Its probably the creamiest clay mask from what i have tried. Once applied, it gives a slight tingle to the skin and starts working its magic. Despite the tingling sensation, the skin is left soft and luminous, with an improved skin tone. You can check it out here.
