Yesterday on my day off, i decided to do some damage to my laser card and ventured into town, to have a good old gandther in the shops.
As I was hovering around the Biotherm counter and engaging in some pleasant chit chat about the weather, the lovely SA told me that in the next month or so Biotherm will be closing all their Irish counters and leave the country. Apparently, the brand decided that due to the lack of interest (aka sales) of Irish consumers.
Biotherm entered the Irish market in the summer of 2008, with counters nation wide. It is really sad that after just one year they decide to pack and go.
From my point of view, their marketing/advertising approach wasn’t top notch. I am a huge consumer of glossy magazines and avid internet reader, so i noticed that Biotherm products are not very promoted or mentioned. As a prestigious expensive brand, member of the giant L`oreal Company i was expecting a bit more from them.
Anyway it is typical, when i discover a new brand and decide to support the economy have an in depth analysis, Biotherm is leaving me. It is a real shame, their products are really good and their men`s range is very popular world wide.
I plan to do some stocking up on the Fitness 2 range, i want to get their night cream and maybe get some other bits as well. You can expect some haulage in the next weeks or so.
What do you thing about this? Is it true? Please say it`s not!
woa it is a shame after one year only they are leaving? It is strange, though, in Italy we have Biotherm since a long time, and they are pretty well commercialized, with lots of advertisements..it is a good level brand, it makes no much sense..

I know, i got the info from the Sales Assistant at the Biotherm counter. I still hope its not true, i suppose we`ll wait and see.

Can you tell me what website you use to buy biotherm products, especially foundation?

Hi Lisa, sorry i havent bought any Biotherm online and dont use their foundation only skincare. I honestly dont know wich site is best.
