The whole theme of my ‘look’ was faking a faux glow, creating clear skin and bright eyes mimicking a sun holiday abroad (without the sun damage!).
Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff was a god sent since its release – creates the smoothest skin ever, a silky base for a flawless tan application. Also, comes to rescue when the glow is fading and quickly erases the brown patches leaving a bare canvas for next applications. Just brilliant!
The tan of choice was Roc Minesol Bronze Mousse, got it on a whim from a discounted pharmacy basket for a mere €5. If you like a natural sun kissed look and don’t want to be overly dark, this is the tan for you! The colorless mousse dries in seconds, with no smell and no streaks. I usually apply two fine layers on my legs as they are always way to pale and keep it natural on the upper body. Lasts absolutely ages and fades naturally, cant believe there isn’t any hype about this yet.
With dark circles being a pain in the derriere no matter how rested i am, i decided to go all intensive and use Origins No Puffery Eye Mask every single night and leave it on until morning. And it worked! My dark circles faded considerably and i looked a lot more rested in the morning. It also helped that i quit coffee (two weeks and counting), apparently there is a connection between darkness under the eyes and coffee consumption – green tea forward. The Eraser is still a firm favorite to airbrush my under eye, definitely high street buy of the year status (review here).
To match my now tanned skin, Mac Peaches come in handy to add warmth and my heart shaped face got some cheekbones with the help of Benefit Hoola – a proper matte bronzer, not too red or orange.
The revelation of the month was my new Smashbox Fan Brush No.22, it creates the most effortless contours and leaves room for fine definition when used on the narrow side. Flip it over and just lightly dust blusher on the apple of the cheeks, no more overload of product and maniacally buffing out. Same goes for powder or highlighter, this brush is a multitasking dream.
My best kept secret for smooth hair is the Bumble and Bumble Prep Lotion. A few spritz of this magical stuff before blow drying guarantees a frizz free, smooth, salon styled mop. Doesn’t weight my fine hair down and it doesn’t change how often i wash my hair (every other day), instead my hair is becoming silky smooth and naturally bouncy. I will never be without.

The Origins eye mask and MAC Peaches sound lovely!

Do try it Co, you will love it! Haven’t got anything from Bumble yet that i didn’t like.
Sarah the 22 is amazing for fine definition, sometimes with bigger brushes i find that i darken half my cheek in an attempt for Kim K contouring.
I love that smashbox brush it means I apply blush delicately rather than in dirty big stripes have also been loving tough stuff
