Me + Lush = love

I really love Lush products, i really do! The scent, the design of their shops and the bubbly sales assistants trigger so many happy, beautiful memories. They have such a romantic history too, Constantine the founder started to make its own handmade soaps and bubble bars in his home using traditional recipes and natural ingredients, after leaving The Body Shop company. It makes you wanna start your own soap business in your tub :).

Unfortunately i don’t have a shop near my town, so when i had to go away this week for a couple of days in Dublin, i practically attacked the Lush shop. With a basket in one hand and a hungry look in my eyes, i started the “I want” orgy.

After sniffing the entire shop and trying every single pot of cream or massage bar, I finally decided to take the following products:

Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo

Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo

This is a beer based shampoo that it will give your tresses a manageble volume. In the older days, women used to rinse their hair with beer to give shine and bounce, aldo I cant imagine going to work the next day without raising some eyebrows. This is a lovely shampoo for curly hair as it will give weight and definition to the curls, while conditioning. Other ingredients include lemon juice and oil for shine and cognac oil to tone your scalp.

The Olive Branch Shower Gel

Olive Branch Shower Gel

This is by far my favorite! The fantastic scent it will just transport your spirit on a greek island full of orange trees and sunny warm beaches. While using it, you can almost see yourself in a hamac relaxed while a dark hair Adonis will serve you fresh exotic fruits. Hmm…. OK, got a bit excited there, but it is a really nice pampering shower gel. It is suitable for dry skin as it is part oil, part juice (don’t forget to shake the bottle to get the perfect mix) and the scent it will linger for a long time on your body.

Yummy Yummy Yummy Shower Cream Wash

Yummy Yummy Shower Cream

This is new one for me, as i havent tried it before. Well how can I describe it… its just yummy! The scent is very similar to the popular pink Rock Star soap, so think sweets, bubblegam and cotton candy (avoid this one if your on a diet). Trully delicious!

Mask of Magnaminty

Mask of Magnaminty

“Deep cleansing, toning and pepperminty mask”. This is one of those thick green face masks that you see in teenager movies. A really strong mask that it will extract all the impurities from your skin. It is based on kaolin so that means you have to let it dry for a while (10-15 min) and remove it with a sponge and warm water. Plus the composition has ground adzuki beans added to give a rigorous exfoliation to your complexion. Now, to explain you – this is not a gentle face mask, is best suitable for oilier skins, maybe even acne prone ones. If your skin is sensitive or dry, stay away!

After using it, the result is great: a super clean, toned and refreshed complexion. The scent is strong (like all the Lush products), due to the peppermint oil (be careful it can be irritant for sensitive lady’s/gents). Also it could be used for people with spots and blemishes on the back area, as it going to draw everything out (you should get the big pot for that use).

Can`t wait until the next Lush visit, so many things to get…so little money!

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated to Lush company, I`m just fan of their products. I purchased the aforementioned products with my own money and with the help of my loyal credit card.

    Hey Andrea!
This post is a bit old, but as Iam a Lush addict, I thought I would let you know you can order their products online (via Lush Uk website)…I’ve been living in Ireland for 2 years (West of Ireland) and I used to go to Dublin quite often to get Lush goodies, when there’s actually no need to Haha
    Love your website XoXo
