Biotherm Age Fitness 2 Day Cream

I knew about Biotherm for a while and wanted to try some of their products, but never really got to it as i allways seemd to have something in the press waiting to be finished (I’m a skincare junkie). So when me and Biotherm Age Fitness 2 crossed paths a couple of weeks ago, i finally bite the bullet and purchased the day cream.

The main concept about Biotherm as a company, is that their products are based on thermal plankton collected from the mountain springs in France (where else) which is proven to activate the cellular production, calms and stimulates the natural functions of the skin.

Biotherm Age Fitness 2 is a range of products designed for a young skin, concerned with first signs of aging (fine lines) with extract of olive tree fruit and leaf with strong antioxidant power. The claim behind it is that “After 8 days, fine lines are visibly reduced. Skin is instantly hydrated, smoother and more luminous.” (source Biotherm)

Biotherm Age Fitness 2 Day Cream

After 2 weeks of continuous use of the day cream, this are my thoughts:

I freaking love it! My skin is super soft, smooth and just breakout free. It is an excellent makeup base, the skin is not shiny after using it and it doesn’t have that flat/dull look that you can get sometimes from oily-combination moisturisers. I am still using my Genefique serum underneath and it works just fine, me thinks.

My moisturiser has the normal-combination texture, a light weight aery cream that melts instantly into the skin, without leaving any heaviness or shine. The scent is not strong or at least not to me, its kinda fresh with a hint of olive-very mediterranean.

The only down side to the moisturiser is that it doesnt contain any SPF . I find this very strange for a day cream, especially an anti aging one. Because of this, i mainly use it with a high factor foundation (SPF 20) to give some sort of protection.

I believe i will repurchase it in the future and i want to try the night and the eye cream as well, to see how they work together.

Ooh just discovered your blog!! Am loving it!

I don’t understand why day creams lack spf in this day and age! I had a biotherm aquasource moisturiser that was fab but had no spf. Do you have any reccs for a facial sunscreen that doesn’t block pores/ causes shininess?

Hi there, thank you very much!

My favorite sunscreen for oily-combo skin is La Roche 50+ fluid. Is extremly light, it doesnt leave any white on the face and is for sensitive, oily skin.
