When im not stalking the high end cosmetic counters in department stores, you can easily find me perusing the pharmacy aisles filling up my basket with the latest must have products from the high street. Which always end up totaling up to a real fortune, but that’s another story.
Lately i have discovered some real makeup gems, very affordable and all round excellent at what they do.
Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara – i have picked it up during a Boots promotion, buy one get one half price. Usually it retails at around €15, which in my opinion is quite dear for a pharmacy mascara, but at €7.50 was a real bargain i couldn’t miss out. It gives amazing volume and thickness, whilst keeping a feathery fanned out effect.
Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer – AMAZING!!! Hands down the best concealer i have ever tried! I heard about it from the American YouTube Gurus, everybody praising it to the high heavens so when it finally hit Ireland, i had to give it a whirl. So, so happy with the Eraser: excellently covers all my dark circles, highlighting softly the under eye. Also im amazed that is not creasing at all, no more makeup wrinkles for me.
Maybelline Brow Drama – another new release, Brow Drama is a tinted brow gel that defines and adds a touch of color to your brows. The ingenious brush will create the little hairs for a real natural effect and tame the more rebellious brows. Make sure you use it last after you pencil and powder, other wise it will cake up the products.
Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil – a no nonsense eyebrow pencil, cheap as chips €4.50. With a just right formulation, not too soft or too hard it will define your brows and shape them. It comes in four shades for different hair colors, mine being Dark Brown.
Rimmel 1000 Kisses Liner Pencil – my most versatile day time lip liner, Wild Clover goes amazingly well with my Mac Cosmo. Great color selection, long lasting and a fraction of the price of a Mac lip liner.
