Because i have finally finished of my Blue Eyes Enhancing Palette (review!), i’ve treated myself to a new one from Smashbox – The SoftBox. Before you roll your eyes and gasp at ‘another neutral palette’, i just have to say that eyeshadows are my crack. Can’t resist beautiful shades and color schemes, full of fun promises. You see, when i drool over new makeup, in my head i can envision already how it will make my clothes look more expensive, my style more polished or how this new ‘it’ shade will help me be successful in an important meeting…a real investment. Just me?
With a mixture of mattes and satin textures this is a grown up version for neutral lovers that will match any eye color or wardrobe occasion. Yes, i find it important that your makeup is complementing your outfit choices.
I love how cool taupe tones are blended with warm golds and browns, a mixture of matte and satin textures. My everyday look would be a matte base all over (3rd from right front row), matte taupe on the lid darkened and lined with brown, with a touch of shimmery champagne in the inner corners. There are loads of combinations, you can darken or soften to your hearts desire and i think this is an ideal wedding palette.
Have you tried any Smashbox palettes yet? And more important, are you over neutrals or may them last forever? xo.
