I dont wear makeup on the beach or around the pool, instead i trow on a big hat, a pair of sunglasses and a bright lippie. I went again for the new Clinique Soft Matte in Magenta because its not shiny or sticky and literally will last all day despite me jumping in and out of water.
The Nivea Protect and Bronze is an old favorite. I discovered it during our holiday in Egypt (see here), it protects very well and allows the skin to become golden and even in just a few days. Doesnt have any self tan inside, but it might just have as by the end of my pool session i become sallow and tanned without any redness. I went for the 30 SPF as i heard that it can be the most stable choice when it comes to sun care. The spray is great for when we go out for lunch or just browsing around the town – no trace and it doesn’t interfere with your clothes.
For my face, the Clinique Even Better Spf 45 fluid did the job tremendously well as i am prone to pigmentation. So far no new freckles emerged and the tint helped to even out my face and keep it shine free.
Stila Convertible Color for cheek and lips was an unexpected surprise from Elodie, my Twitter friend. She asked me if i want hers as she wasn’t using it enough, so of course i was chuffed to say yes! I had my eye on Gerbera for so long and it didn’t disappoint. The color is just the right shade of peach/pink that it will lift your complexion and look fresh – dab a bit on the cheekbones and lips, blend well and you are ready to go. Im all about looking fresh by the pool these days :).
Thank you Elodie for the wonderful surprise!
