Night Time Skincare Routine

1 (1 of 1) 3 (1 of 1)

Evening time = my happy time. I love everything about cleansing, prepping and moisturising, its just super relaxing and i feel im doing something good for myself. Im sure if you realized by now that i am a skincare junkie, so more steps the merrier and im not even phased about how many lotions and potions i can apply on my face. Listen, after 30 it takes a village!

Serum

I alternate between the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair and the Ren Resurfacing AHA Concentrate. The ANR helps delay aging, feels moisturing on the skin and helps repair minor breakouts or imperfections.  Whilst Ren AHA on the other hand, which i use it every second day, helps boost radiance and resurface the skin. This little routine seems to work great, i have been diligently applying every night for the last few months and im enjoying the results. The AHA in particular has the most spectacular results in terms of skin brightness and minimizing the fine lines.

Moisturiser

My absolute holy grail is the Clinique Youth Surge Night Moisturiser for oily combination skin. Having oily skin may have its perks, its just that i have to be careful and use only oil free creams or i’ll wake up with clogged pores and spots. The reason why i love this particular moisturiser is that feels fresh and light on the skin and has the magic of erasing every single fine line instantly. In the morning i find my skin taught, firm and without any excess oil on my t-zone.

Eye Cream

Ok, have to admit that im ocd about my eyes and im terrified of getting wrinkles. Which means i usually apply two eye creams: the lightweight Estee Lauder ANR Eye Serum goes on first, followed by my latest skincare revelation – Dermarie Anti Aging Eye Cream*. Excessive? Maybe. I tend to get terrible dark circles and i found that this little combo helps. The Dermarie has a high concentration of Vitamin K and Arnica- great against the under eye darkness and fatigue, helping illuminate the whole area. I tend to use something with anti dark circles at night, so my eyes will be looking fresh in the morning and a smoothing eye cream under my makeup so the concealer wont crease too much.

Every couple of months i switch things up and try new products, i would love to start using something with Retinol next but not sure which brand or products are best. Any recommendations?

I’m thinking about Alpha-H Liquid Gold. I thought I was too young, but I read that it’d benefit anyone over twenty. I’m thinking of trying Estée Lauder ANR again. Had a wee bottle a few years back and wasn’t impressed, found it way too rich. It might be worth a look now that my skin’s a bit older!

I still have a bottle of Alpha H somewhere in my press, liked it but love Ren more. Its never too early to start, i have became obsessed with skincare since i was 18 (a lot of time has passed since!).
