Pregnancy Style: The Little Black Dress

Pregnant Fashion Blogger Minion Christening Cake Parenting Blog

I feel that this post should be an ode to my black Benetton sheath dress (link!). I got in my early days of pregnancy, when i was looking for something to wear daily at work with my uniform. The appeal was in the sturdy material, flattering yet comfortable cut and the short sleeves. Oh and it was only about €25 because it was on sale! My only regret is that i didn’t buy one in every color.

Because ive became really stubborn in buying maternity clothes – besides my two pairs of elasticated band jeans and two dresses, i refuse to buy anything else. I basically grew my bump in this dress: everyday wear, work or play, like in this occasion for my friends daughter’s christening. Sometimes i would wash it daily, never need to iron it and still it looks brand new. Seriously, why did i not buy at least two.

For the Christening i tried to style the simplicity of the dress by adding some of my favorite accessories: my chunky pearl necklace from Zara, a pop of color with my red Zara coat and a dash of spice with my new Moda in Pelle leopard kitten heels. Yes, yes kitten heels are not very fashionable right now, but these ones are the most comfortable, beautiful pony skinned shoes. I simply adore them.
