Deciem The Ordinary Product Guide and Review
The Ordinary product guide and review is probably my most requested post to date. Every time i post something on my Instagram Stories or my feed about the products, the engagement shoots up and i find myself having lengthy skincare chats in my DMs. Skincare is my favorite thing ever, so nothing brings me more joy that a good conversation about the latest products on the market.
Since the launch last year, i worked my way trough a fair share of The Ordinary products and i have more coming my way in the next few weeks. They are fantastic value for money, so you can confidently splurge on various treatments and see whatever works well for you. I usually buy directly from , i find they have the best selection and stock but you can also find the products on , , or Cloud10Beauty.
Beside the good value for money, the products actually work. Proper high concentrations, stable formulas and a mirriad of products from acids to retinols, oils or antioxidants – there is something for everyone.
As a guide of how to use the products, please remember:
- always to apply water formulations before oil formulations.
Water Base Formulas
- Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
- Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
- Caffeine Solution 5%
- Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%

- most likely, you will have to wear a high SPF on a daily basis due to the concentration of the products.
- also there is 1 year full refund policy on the products.
Deciem The Ordinary Product Guide and Review
I have grouped roughly what products work well for different concerns below. There is a very helpful regimen guide here if you are not sure what to buy and how to match.
My Favorite Products From The Ordinary | What I Have Tried and Used Up
– anti-age, smooths down lines and wrinkles and helps to reverse sun damage. Also efficient against acne marks and scars. I apply it every other day, maybe around 2-3 times a week always at night time. I wake up with a smoother face, refined pores and a fresh look. Retinol is not for everyone, as it is the strongest anti age you can use so do use it with caution and dont over do it. SPF its a must in the morning!
– hands down my favorite from all The Ordinary products! Its a quick 10 minute max mask that refines the skin and melts away all the dead skin. I found it particularly good at clearing out my open pores around my nose and shrinking my milia. Its quite effective at fading away scarring or other minor marks.
– a vitamin A and C rich oil, that not only nourishes the skin but helps against aging and pigmentation. I adore it at night time, if my skin is particularly dehydrated from the central heating.
– i have them here together because this is exactly how i have used them, together. Two drops of each mixed and applied on the clean skin underneath my moisturiser. Both very rich in peptides, they help to smooth down the signs of aging and they have an action against static and dynamic wrinkles, in particular around the eyes and forehead.
– the only eye area serum in the range, i found it fantastic against puffiness around the eyes. I use it every morning first thing. Massaging gently to stimulate the lymphatic system and following up with whatever eye cream i am using at the time. A little goes a really long way, im currently months into my initial bottle.
– i went trough two bottles already and have another one coming my way. Its a non fuss hyaluronic acid that helps to plump up the skin instantly, replenish the water lost and fight dehydration.
I have more products waiting to be trialed, im particularly interested in the new Antioxidant range and have to introduce some Vit C at some point.
Would love to hear your thoughts about the range and what products rocked your world so far! Give me all the skincare chats!

This is brilliant. Thanks for demystifying it. It’s really hard to know when and how to use a lot of these products. And also hard to keep track of everything coming out on the market. You make it seem so easy and you’re so good to share. Thanks again ?
Andrea, hi. Love your article. I have never used The Ordinary, but I am dying to start. I am 45 years old. My primary concerns are a bit of dehydration, some pigmentation (I used to be a smoker), a bit of sagging on the cheeks, and I find my pores are too big. I haven’t gotten fine lines or wrinkles yet, although I find a bit between my brows (like a frown line). I see there are so many products and an orderly way of using them. Could you please advise me on how to get started. By the way, three years ago I visited Ireland (I live in Mexico) and drove for 11 days from Dublin to Galway (going south) and I have to tell you that I think it is the best country in the world, the people are the friendliest ever, I woke up every morning thinking that God (I am not religious) had to live there. I was mesmerized by the beauty, the grandeur, the green all around me. It was like I felt a powerful presence everywhere I went. Kinsale was my favorite place and the Cliffs. I hope you can give me a hand.
