Aveda Invati Hair System Review – It works!

Aveda Invati When you see clumps of hair falling out day in and day out, you start panicking. Hair is a very important part of a person’s appearance, being man or woman, so when thick long tresses become a matter of the past you are willing to try anything.

I wanted to review the new Aveda Invati System for a long time, heard so many testimonials from real people on how it stopped the hair shedding and promoted hair growth. The most powerful was when i was having the chats with a lady who suffered a chemo treatment and sworn by the stuff, saying that finally she is confident to wear her head uncovered. I was sold!

To tackle the hair thinning from all angles, Aveda formulated three products that will help promote growth, minimize shedding and stop hair breakage: Exfoliating Shampoo, Thickening Conditioner and Activating Spray.

With natural ingredients, sulphate and silicone free the Invati Exfolating Shampoo wont make the luxurious frothy foam that we are so well used to, instead will gently clean and exfoliate the scalp by removing any buildup and renewing the scalp. I just use a €2 coin amount and with plenty of water i get a decent foam, focusing mainly on my scalp and roots. The texture is quite runny so a little will go a long way, dont be tempted to keep pouring out the shampoo.

Next, the Thickening Conditioner will minimize breakage, thicken the hair from inside the cuticle, strengthen and improves elasticity. Initially, it doesn’t feel like it moisturizes the hair at all and the first impression was ‘oh my god my hair will be a knotted mess’. Wrong, after towel drying and with the help of the tangle teaser my hair became super soft and manageable. I always use the Bumble and Bumble Prep Spray anyway so no tangles in sight.

The piece of resistance, the Scalp Revitaliser Spray is the one who activates the scalp and promotes the hair growth. If the the shampoo and conditioner will help reduce the hair loss and keep the hair you have for longer, by minimizing breakage, exfoliating and removing buildup – the Revitalizing Spray will energize the scalp and promote new hair.

I have been very diligent with the application, washing and conditioning every second day and using the spray twice a day – 8 sprays for each side of the head. Results started to show after two weeks, the shedding slowed down and my hair seemed shinier, bouncy and voluminous. It wont perform miracles, you wont grow a lions mane in two days and don’t expect luxurious textures and chemically fragranced smells. Instead, expect a natural approach that it will slow down shedding, promote new hair and diminish hair breakage. The only downsize is the price point, for the three products you will spend about €90 and they will last you a bit over a month. But if you are like me, tried multiple products and are desperate for something that works – give it a try. You won’t be sorry.

Have you tried Aveda Invati yet? Let me know if you have any other tried and tested tips and tricks on how to slow down hair shedding.

I’ve tried quite a few things as well… mostly natural products and haven’t really seen any improvements but I have started to take silica for a couple of weeks and I have to say I am loosing a lot less hair than when I started. I’ll keep going and let you know how it goes. 😉

I know, mad expensive! Because of my thyroid has been a constant battle with hairloss so if it works, I will pay the money. I’ll be broke but hairy 🙂
