Eucerin Dermo Capillaire Calming Urea Review

Trying out new products all the time is probably the best perk of being a beauty blogger. Unfortunately, sometimes there are certain things that don’t agree with you, so allergic reactions happen. Like it just happened to me after trying out a new shampoo and conditioner for volume – ive only used it twice and im still fighting the itchiness and dryness of the scalp three weeks later. They were probably too perfumed for me, although they smelled yummy of coconuts and the fragrance lingered on my hair for days.

So after a lot of discomfort, scalp flaking and all the discreet scratching on the side, i went back to the fool proof calming shampoo and scalp treatment from Eucerin. The Calming Urea 5% Shampoo (€9.99) ive used in the past, back in my box dye and self hair stripping days i was irritating my scalp no end and this was the only thing that was bringing it back to normal. The formula is super gentle and fragrance free, enriched with Urea and Lactate – two moisturising ingredients that will clean and nourish the scalp.

Eucerin Dermo Capillaire Calming Urea Scalp Treatment Review

The Calming Urea 5% Scalp Treatment (€14.99) is a new addition to the range and probably the product who gave me the most relief from the two. Its a leave in treatment that can be used on dry or wet scalp that instantly calms irritation. Ive been using it twice a day in the beginning when things were bad and then just in the evening for maintenance. I love how light and soothing it feels without weighting down the roots or adding a greasy film to the hair.

In other news, im having a final countdown until maternity leave – five long weeks left! Im 30 weeks pregnant now and im starting to feel very uncomfortable and big. My job involves a lot of standing and moving around, so at the end of the day im left exhausted and with logs instead of ankles. Time off and Christmas cant come soon enough, it will be my first non working holiday since i was a teenager!

Also a few weeks ago ive made the shocking discovery of finding pink stretch marks on each side of my bump. I went to bed with smooth skin and woke up with these feckers. I mean i couldn’t have moisturized the bump more, i practically slide off everywhere im that oiled up. Tears were shed, im not going to lie.

My bump is growing at a rapid pace, plus my skin is seems to get dryer by the day, so these two combined had me blessed with stretchmarks. I am manically moisturizing a couple of times a day now to prevent more to appear, if you have any tips let me know!

While I was pregnant I used natural oils: a mix of bio almond oil, organic shea butter and wheatgerm oil. It really works!!! Moisture you skin in the morning after bathing and again at night, continue hydrating yourself with plenty of water to help your skin retain elasticity.
    Good health and happiness!

I must try this! I’ve had a few run-ins with shampoos recently and need to give my poor scalp a break 🙂
