I‘ve been procrastinating writing this post for ages, i wanted to film a YouTube video as i thought it would be easier than taking photos, editing and creating the post. I was wrong! Put a camera in my face and im reduced to a mute, monosyllabic weirdo. The next Lily Pebbles i am not it seems. I wont give up, ill try again when i feel the stars are aligned to my favor.
Anyway, back to the haul. As i was mentioning on Snapchat (you can follow me if you wish – yourbeauty.ie), i have saved a bit of money for treats when i was pregnant. I just didn’t feel like buying anything that time so i figured i will need plenty of pretty things to make up for the lack of sleep.
The Clarins face oil and foundation are replacements of my old ones, just in different versions. I got this time the Santal oil for dry skin instead of the Lotus (oily combination) and im loving it. Feels richer, more nourishing on the skin and its exactly what my dehydrated face needs. The Clarins Extra Comfort is a fave of mine since last summer, they didn’t have my shade Wheat so i got a lighter color – Honey (110). With the amount of contour im doing these days, it will be more than grand.
I always use a face oil on damp skin – i either use thermal water or a hydrating mist ( I like the Clinique Moisture Surge Spray). The La Roche Posay Serozinc is something i wanted to try for ages, its meant for oily sensitive skin with acne and blemishes. I recently started to get some odd bumps around my mouth and chin area, probably hormonal so i hope the Zinc content will make them disappear.
Also, while i was at the Clarins counter i decided to try the highly praised concealer – Clarins Instant Concealer in 01 (02 is very pink, 03 is dark). Again my purchase was influenced by Laura, her recommendations are always spot on so i doubt it will disappoint.
Because i needed another highlighter, i finally bought The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer. I just don’t know what it took me this long, its not even that expensive. If you are looking for a pigmented, shiny and glowing highlighter this is your product. Prepare to see me glow!
I finished my Kerastase Ciment Thermique and i was in the market for a new heat protective lotion. Bumble and Bumble Repair Blow Dry is meant to make your hair silky, soft and of course, protect it from damage. I have tried it once so far and it helped detangle my lengths and made my bleached hair feel softer.
I was sent the new Joico Color Balance Blue to try out – its a new blue shampoo and conditioner range meant for brunettes who dye their hair blonde. Me in a nutshell. You all know my love for the purple shampoo, so im very intrigued on trying this new Joico range. You can get it via www.xpertpro.ie, i have been trying it out for my last two washes and it made my hair look more ashy and cool toned just as i like it. I have recently re-done my highlights in Peter Mark and honestly they were a disaster. I payed a fortune for yellow looking, patchy highlights and a horrible cut. Very disappointing, i suppose i shouldn’t have cheating on my usual StyleClub. So for that reason ive been soaking my hair in the Joico Balance Blue and i will continue to do so until my next hair appointment.
Finally, my last purchase was the Cocoa Brown Instant Tan Bronzing Gel Matte. I don’t know about you, but when i use fake tan on my body my shins/lower legs dont tan. I mean they do, but they always look a lot paler than my thighs. Weird! This is when the Cocoa Brown comes to help, the Matte Instant Gel airbrushes the skin and gives it a lovely tint, making my legs picture perfect. There is a Shimmery version too, but im all about the Matte one. Just lovely.
Now i just need to lose the baby weight so i can buy new clothes. I have nothing to wear!
