Launching in February, the new is based on a flawless skin with a natural contour and subtle shimmer eyes. A contouring perfection, yet achievable and most of all, wearable. I was surprised to see grey icy tones for the eyes, the limited edition five color palette will probably create a quite impressive smokey eye more suitable for parties than fresh spring mornings. But i suppose that’s my own personal opinion, im so indoctrinated in my warm neutral eye shadows that anything deviating from the norm looks scary.
The star of the collection is obviously the new limited edition €45. A muted, natural contour palette consisting of a matte highlighter/powder, contour/bronzer and blusher. Plus a very professional looking and useful slanted contouring brush, that not only will help chisel them cheekbones but will also create the perfect shadows when working on smaller areas like the nose.
If the star of the collection is the contouring palette, the novelty product is certainly the Clarins Stylo 4 Colour All in One Pen Lips and Eyes €30. Don’t you think it looks exactly like those fat pens we used in school? We finally have a grown up version and even better, its filled with makeup. There are three eyeliners – black, navy and dark brown and one neutral lip liner. Ideal to carry around in your handbag for touch ups.
Another highlight for me are the limited edition shimmery pots – €22.50, the rose in particular is very flattering both on the eyes and on the cheekbones. It has that mousse/powder texture that instantly melts on the skin leaving the finest layer of sparkle.
The €24 collection has been enriched with three new shades: Tender Nude (beige nude), Pink Fuchsia (hot pink), Soft Plum (plum). My favorite has to be the Tender Nude! Yes oh so boring, a beige nude that is so easy to wear, yet adds a little bit of something to your lips. Very soft and moisturising, an old fashion lipstick if you like that will add a touch of luxury to your beauty routine.
