Cherish Mii by Mii Cosmetics | Review

Last week me and Sophia had the pleasure to attend the Mii Cosmetics press event and get to play with the new Spring Collection Cherish Mii. It was my first encounter with this salon only, mineral based brand and it sure wont be the last. London based, Mii Cosmetics have been developed as a natural progression from salon treatments to a natural and healthy makeup look. Most of us still want a touch of makeup applied even after a beauty treatment, so you are better off applying a mineral base that will let your skin breath and add a natural coverage.

For me the highlight of the collection has been the Mii Couture Eye Color eyeshadow palette (€32.50) – i am such a creature of habit and still get excited when i see a neutral eyeshadow. With four different textures, from matte to glitter you can easily layer the product and create a quite beautiful contoured eye. Depending on the color combinations, you can either go ultra smokey and glittery or keep it nude and subdued. Whatever the mood strikes! The star of the show is definitely Brocrade – a khaki green glitter that works best with a finger application, pressed on the lid and layered with other shadows. Unfortunately my hooded eyelids didn’t leave much room for interpretation but trust me, underneath those lid creases there is a magnificent shimmer disco eye look!

The second favorite is the Mii Beautifying Brow Wand (€24), a 3 in 1 product: sculpting pencil, grooming brush and creamy illuminator. Brilliant to define, shape and contour any brow. My sample shade is the Truly Darker 03 shade, the darkest from the bunch. I can make it work because i have dark eyes, but if i was too choose for a blonde like myself i would go for the Truly Medium 02. I love that the consistency of the pencil is not waxy nor soft, just the perfect texture and that the shape of the pencil top makes is so easy to shape your brow.

Also in the collection, there is a stencil set – Mii Enhancing Eye Prep, five different shapes of brows to guide you to the desired look. Personally, i have my brows tattooed so i dont need much guidance per say. They would be perfect for someone with very fine brows or non existent, the stencils and powder help to create a natural shape and restore sometimes a bit of confidence back. A good brow can do wonders for ones mood!

On my lips i have the Mii Passionate Lip Lover in Charm (€22), a creamy rich in peptides peach lipstick. The color goes opaque on the lips with two coats, feels light and creamy with a subtle sheen. I lined my lips first with Mac Subculture and then followed up with Charm straight from the bullet to create a peachy coral perfection.

Have you tried Mii Cosmetics before? Do let me know if there are other must haves from Mii.
