Today’s post is a review of the latest revolution from Shiseido – the . The first foundation from Shiseido with ActiveForce technology. This allows the foundation to self refresh non stop for a 24 hour period to make it look fresh and flawless.

Thoughts on wearing the Shiseido Synchro Skin Self Refreshing Foundation

This was the first Shiseido foundation that i ever tried and i have to say that it didn’t disappoint. I was introduced to the brand many years ago but sadly i haven’t stayed up to date with its releases. This was a lovely opportunity to get reacquainted.

The is medium to full coverage, buildable foundation. I found the finish semi matte, quite radiant and glowy. On my face it looked skin like and it gave me the coverage i needed, without being heavy. I did find the foundation quite fresh looking and the lasting power was great.

My skin is oily combination, with the typical oily t-zone. I powdered with the Laura Mercier translucent loose powder as i always do and i found that it did the job brilliantly at keeping my skin matte. A slight sheen was on my forehead after a couple of hours, but that was to be expected. I rather have a skin like foundation with a glowy finish, then a full on matte one.

The color didn’t oxidize and looked true all trough the day. Application wise, i tried a couple of ways: fingers, foundation brush and a damp Beauty Blender. The best finish and lasting power was definitely given by the Beauty Blender. It made my skin looking flawless.

For me the 210 Birch is a perfect match for my winter skin. A light yellow under toned shade. The shade selection is brilliant, in particular for very fair skins. So if you cant find a foundation light enough in color, do try Shiseido.
