Having shorter, tangle free hair makes it a lot easier to go the extra mile in taking care of my mop. Washing is faster and treatments are lot more pleasant to use, while blow drying has become a dream. I even become more diligent in applying weekley hair masks.
If during the week i wash and condition with the Kerastase Resistance (post here), on weekends im reaching for my Bumble stash to nourish and strengthen.
I start with the BB Sunday shampoo which is meant to clear out any product buildup in your hair, so that any other mask applied will be more efficient and will go straight into the cuticle, instead of adding another layer to the coating. I was expecting a harsh, astringent, stripping product that will leave my hair straw like and was a bit concerned about how my scalp will react. Fortunately, i find the Sunday shampoo quite mild and gentle, it does cleanse properly and i love how lifted and voluminous my hair looks after.
After my weekley detox, i reach for either the Bumble and Bumble Deeep hydrating protein mask, which will condition and moisturise my hair or the Mending Masque which is meant to strengthen, repair and prevent breakage.
I tend to wash my hair, towel dry and then slather a generous amount of either of the masks and leave it on for as long as i can. The scent is gorgeous, both of them are beautifully fragranced – although i have to admit that Deeep is my favorite, smells like a pina colada!
Results are outstanding, my hair hasn’t look this shiny, sleek and smooth in ages! I also love that the masks don’t weight down the hair either, quite the opposite – there is a definite bounce and lift. A little goes a long way, have used them each about 4 times and there’s still loads left.
Blow drying has been cut in half and i haven’t touched the hair straightener in almost a month. Well, this is due to another magic little product from Bumble and Bumble, but that’s for another post.
Are you a Bumble and Bumble fan? I see more of them in my future…that Hydraquench mask sounds dreamy…
