You have no idea how much JOY the new IKEA MYRHEDEN Frames bring into my life! From the moment i have spotted them on the New In section in the IKEA email, i knew i had to get them. We are the nice stage with the house: buying curtains, posters and decorations, so it was perfect timing for getting a few personal photos up on the walls.
We have our living room sectioned in two sides: the actual living area with the couch and TV and then my husbands office, with his desk and chair. I wanted to blend the two areas into one, making them more homely and cosy.
The Myrheden can be screwed into the walls/doors but i chosen not too and just used some Command Brand Picture Hanging Strips. I use them with most of our lightweight canvases or frames, it saves us ruining the walls.
I ordered my photos from FotoStore.ie – an online app that gets your photos printed straight from your phone and posts them to your home address. I ordered the 5’x5′, it was the best size for that square Instagram format that i wanted. Some of my photos weren’t in a square layout initially so i just used the free app Squaredy to resize them accordingly. For 11 photos i payed approximately €6, the quality was exceptional and i was delighted with the whole experience. I already have another batch to print, i want to fill in the spaces with more photos.
Each grid houses 12 photo spaces, but you can use your imagination and hang whatever inspires you or makes you happy. The bottom has four hooks, great for hanging keys, necklaces or other light weight decorations.
Because its made of gold brass, the Myrheden can be spray painted in any color you might fancy to fit your decor.
The Ikea Myrheden Photo Grids are €15 each, have you tried them out yet?
I paid for everything myself, no press samples featured.
Whats the hack here? These appear to just be used as they are off the shelf
